My Art Blog

Wow! I Just Sold My First Painting!

What an incredible feeling! I just sold my first painting to a wonderful and sexy lady I call "Aunt Sus" who lives in Switzerland. Thank you for your support, Aunt Sus!

Tomorrow I will try to start/complete 4-6 paint sketches. I must remember that I'm a painter and painters should paint everyday to get in good practice. We'll see how the day unfolds. What do you have planned for tomorrow? Paint if you can. Chat with you soon.

Kevin,
Aunt Sus and I liked the same one of GG...sooo good! That one really stood out and grabbed me. I can't paint, but I do enjoy good art. Jim and I went on a long cruise several years ago and kept going to shop auctions and came home with several. The framing is very expensive and we've only done half, but they're rolled up in tissue and in large roll boxes they were shipped in. We have received many compliments.
Your talent is God-given to be shared and used. Have fun. Learn. Enjoy!

Kevin,
You've sold THREE now! This must be very motivating for you...that others like your artistic talents. And in such a short time after you began painting again. Especially with the current economy.
Jim and I usually buy a painting or some art piece with every trip we take. It's OUR souvenir. We used to travel lots and often they were out of the country. We sold a large home in Austin and downsized to a much smaller one here in Sun City and our paintings/artwork dominate the walls, etc. with our memories. We do have 10 foot ceilings which helps. Lately our trips have been closer and more relaxing.
Now Jean and I have our trip to CA. in January and Jim and I are planning to fly to El Salvador with friends who have a home down there, but live here. In 2 years they are moving back there to be close to parents.
Give GG a hug for me!!!
I love checking here to see your latest works...
